January 6, 2025: A Wrenching Anniversary
January 6, 2025 marked an exceptionally difficult anniversary for our nation and an exceedingly demanding day for Vice President Harris, who, with grit, grace, and love of country led the presidential certification of her opponent who sparked the hideous Capitol attack last year. Kamala Harris's leadership in meeting her constitutional mandate was a Profile in Courage. As were her words about President Carter, also spoken in the setting of a vicious attack a year earlier. Imagine the difference it would have made to her and our nation if President Biden had included his vice president, profoundly loyal to him, in those he honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
