Lynn A Marks upcoming sessions
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
For several years I've taken a fascinating course on Zoom, Hot Topics in Justice & Law, offered through Philly’s Temple U’s OLLI's division for people over 50. I have found it to be deeply informative as well inspiring, and I thought some of you may also be interested in what it offers.
The class explores current policy issues by hosting expert scholars, judges, journalists, and advocates for justice to inform and offer clarity on complex issues in our tragically deeply divided country. Topics this semester will include a US Supreme Court update & analysis; Presidential power and the meaning of 3 co-equal branches of government; the crisis of immigration; the future of higher education; the PA Supreme Court retention elections in November & judicial independence; and more.
Since 2017, the class has been taught by the deeply respected retired Judge Phyllis W. Beck and award-winning public interest attorney, Lynn A Marks. Judge Beck died in March, and Lynn Marks will continue to teach the course.
The upcoming 6 sessions begin on October 3, meeting on Zoom on Fridays between 10 and 11:30 AM. If the past is any indicator, these sessions are well worth the time spent and the modest fee.

With warm best wishes,
To be continued!
